Chocolate Tours
Belgium is so close to Dunkirk you can almost smell the chocolate, or is just the anticipation? Seek out the medieval city of Bruges, quaint cobbled streets and less than an hour’s drive away. There are 5 underground car parks, which make parking easy.
In May there’s the Choco Laté Festival, which is definitely worth a visit with many chocolate bargains to be had.
Another hour’s drive is the capital, Brussels that houses some 10 places to see. Not to be missed is the Museum of Cocoa and Chocolate and the ornately glass-roofed Galeries St Hubert.
For the kids there’s the cartoon world of Hergé’s Tintin at the Museum of Comic Strip Art. But then it’s back to chocolate again – try the beautiful Grand Place.
