Year of The EuroHop:
Staycation may have been the watchword for holidays in 2009, but the hot travel prediction for 2010 from Norfolkline is that this is the year of the EuroHop. With only two hours from Dover to Dunkirk by Norfolkline, the ferry operator Norfolkline believes that many people are looking to experience the cheap holidays abroad, with short breaks to Europe being top of the list. Dunkirk is also a popular entry point into France with links to the main roads that travel in Belgium, Holland, Spain, Poland, Germany and Italy easily.
Premium Service:
Chris Newey, Chief Executive of Norfolk Line for passenger services said, “Last year may have been presented as the year of the stay-cation, but we experienced an extraordinary growth in 2009, an increase of 200,000 cars and 500,000 passengers who travel on our ferry from Dover to Dunkirk. We attribute this growth, equivalent to about 20%, the fact that although we are essentially a low-cost operator, we does offer a high quality service and providing an easy disembarkation for ferry car passengers.”
