Hi folks, for a change from the busy life, wanted to visit Calais on a short break in the weekend. I guess there won`t be much time to spend there as per by schedule. Can anyone help out me, in a short time what attractions can be visited in and around Calais.

Just 40 minutes away is St Omer, and I would also recommend Montreuil-sur-Mer.

As you won`t have much time, you can visit The Six Burghers Monument, Calais town hall, and Église Notre-Dame de Calais near to Calais.

Other interesting attraction of Calais is Calais Lighthouse.

You can also try out this.

If you still have time, you can take a train to Boulogne, it just takes 30 minutes by train to reach this lovely town with so much to offer – rich historical and architectural heritage, pretty fishing harbour, a lively town centre and you`ll also find numerous shops, bars and restaurants.
